Job Overview:
The Information Management Lead is responsible for the effective management of information, including data, documents, and models, throughout all phases of a project. This role ensures that information is accurate, accessible, and effectively communicated to all project stakeholders to support efficient project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- General:
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all Contract Scopes of Work and Information Management (IM) requirements for the project.
- Establish and maintain effective information management systems and processes.
- Review and ensure compliance with the client's Information Management requirements for the project.
- Develop comprehensive Information Management documentation, including strategies, plans, procedures, templates, and guidelines, to be finalized during the project's setup phase.
- Hold ultimate accountability for the planning, management, and oversight of documents, data, and models throughout the project.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Facilitate effective communication and information sharing among project stakeholders (including other discipline engineers)
- Act as a point of contact for information management issues, providing support and training to project team members as needed.
- Coordinate with the Digital/IT team to ensure that the project database (DB) and tools are properly set up as per project requirements.
- Monitor all information and data interfaces with clients or other third parties to ensure requirements are addressed and coordinate with adequate stakeholders if necessary.
- Coordinate and interface with the client's Point of Contact (PIC) on all aspects of Information and Data Management.
- Partner with Discipline Managers and Project Management Team (PMT) to ensure an adequate number of qualified staff are assigned to the project to meet quality, budget, and schedule requirements for IM scope in contract.
- Quality Assurance:
- Conduct regular health checks, reviews and audits of project information to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Implement corrective actions to address any identified issues or discrepancies in project information.
- Technology Utilization:
- Identify and implement appropriate information management tools, software, and technologies to enhance project performance.
- Stay updated with industry best practices and emerging technologies in information management.
- Reporting:
- Organise development and distribution of regular reports on project information status, highlighting key issues and areas for improvement.
- Provide insights and recommendations to senior management based on analysis of project information.
- Communicate IM key performance indicators (KPI) and issues with the project team.
- Project Information Handover:
- Maintain a result-oriented and delivery mindset, focusing on achieving project goals efficiently and effectively.
- Ensure successful project information handover to the client on an intermittent basis as project milestones are achieved and on final delivery milestone.

Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Advanced degree or MBA is a plus.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in information management within the Oil & Gas EPC industry.
- Proven experience in managing large-scale EPC projects as an Information Manager, with a track record of successful completion and seamless handover.
- Skills:
- Understanding of the importance of data, information, and document assets
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with data model, metadata, data quality, information security
- Strong knowledge of systems and software related to EPCI and O&M, such as AVEVA, SAP, EDMS, Completions, and CMMS.
- Strong understanding of data governance, information security, and regulatory compliance in the Oil & Gas sector.
- Certifications:
- Project Management Certification (PMP) and/or Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) is a plus.
Working Conditions:
- Typical office environment with some yard visits and interactions with project teams.
- Ability to adapt work schedule to meet project milestones and deadlines.
- Occasional travel to project sites, subcontractor offices, and client offices.
