Overall Job Purpose

Support MODEC's decision-making process by providing financial analysis, insights, and reliable information.

Core Responsibilities

• Ensure proper managerial accounting assignments (WBS code/Cost Center/GL) of revenue/costs/expenses in day-to-day approvals and routines to make meaningful budget monitoring and build up a reliable database. Approvals and routines are as per the following but not limited to:

i. Purchase Requisition (PR) and Purchase Order (PO)

ii. Service Entry Sheet (SES)

iii. Travel Request (TR)

iv. Expense Report (ER)

v. Revenue and Expenses accruals and reversal

vi. Journal Entry preparation (Reclassification)

vii. Position Rate and Business Crew Travel allocation

viii. Profit Center / Cost Center creation

ix. WBS / Cost Center creation

x. Sales Contract Creation

xi. Intercompany PO Creation

xii. Service WO approval

xiii. Personnel Mobilization form Approval

xiv. Support the Department's Improvement Initiatives

• Develop year-end forecast with monthly breakdown by making analysis such as but not limited to:

i. Actual cost vs Approved budget analysis

ii. Historical data analysis

iii. SAP data such as Purchasing Document Balance to be delivered in the fiscal year (“Committed”)

iv. Intercompany transactions based on the contracts between MODEC entities

• Proactively obtain information outside of SAP to supplement the data quality and improve forecast accuracy. For example, but not limited to:

i. New Purchase documents expected to be issued

ii. Latest delivery date of materials

iii. Latest activities execution schedule

iv. Latest status for importation costs

• Set up Cost Breakdown Structure and allocate budget, resources, and any other data required into the system.
• Prepare managerial cost report and materials with analytical comments. Reports and materials are as per the following but not limited to:

i. Monthly Cost Report Package

ii. Business Review Meeting Presentation Material

iii. Cost Report / Presentation for Shareholders (SPC partners)

iv. Budget Review Materials

v. Budget Materials for Shareholders (SPC partners)

• Present the managerial cost report and materials in internal and external meetings on demand

• Consolidate and report evidence for Client invoicing for reimbursement contracts together with Finance Dept.

Educational Qualification:

Degree in Accounting, Economics, Business Management or Engineering


Relevant Experience:

• 3 years of cost controlling experience in Oil & Gas industry (or)

• 5 years of cost controlling experience in other industries with understanding of technical knowledge of Oil & Gas process and FPSO projects

• familiarity with project management processes
